Packing your hairdressing scissors securely is essential for safe postage; we don’t want your scissors piercing the packaging and going missing, and nor do we want their tips poking through and injuring the postie.
Protecting the Blades for Safe Postage
A flat scissor storage case is ideal for postage. If you don’t have one, you’ll need to wrap the blades of your scissors in a folded cardboard sleeve, securing it in place with an elastic band. It’s essential your scissors can’t slip out or open up during transit. Next, wrap the full length of the scissors in bubble wrap and pop them into a sturdy plastic padded envelope or a small, shallow box. Please don’t use a paper envelope; even if your scissors are well wrapped, paper envelopes damage easily and it can mean your scissors end up slipping out and getting lost.
Remember to Include Your Details
Please remember to include your details – pop a slip of paper in the package with your name, address, email address, contact number and order number. It’s really important that you remember to do this, as forgetting to include your details inevitably leads to a delay in service while we try to work out whose scissors they are.
Choosing a Postal Service
While your scissors are in our possession, they’re handled with the utmost care. However, responsibility for the parcel remains with the sender until it is received by us, so we advise using Royal Mail Tracked 24 or 48 with cover that matches the value of your scissors. You’ll need to keep hold of your proof of postage until we’ve confirmed we’ve received them, which we’ll do with an email.
Where to Send Your Scissors
After placing your order, you’ll receive the sharpening address and packaging instructions by email. Please don’t send your scissors to the office address shown elsewhere on our website.
What Happens Next
