Postal Scissor Sharpening Service

Description

Our postal scissor sharpening service offers professional freehand sharpening for hairdressing and barbering scissors, completed by an experienced scissor specialist.

Each pair of scissors is fully inspected, stripped down, sharpened and honed by hand, realigned, correctly tensioned and reassembled. Freehand sharpening preserves the original blade angle, ensuring a smooth, precise cut without excessive metal removal. Every pair is tested on real human hair before being returned.

This service is suitable for straight scissors, left-handed scissors and thinning scissors, including Japanese convex-edge models.

Once your order is placed, you’ll receive an email with clear instructions on how to package your scissors and where to send them. Please note that the address for postal sharpening differs from our main office address. Your scissors are sharpened on receipt and returned to you by Royal Mail. Return postage is included with insurance cover up to £75. Optional upgraded insurance is available at checkout.

Our typical turnaround time is 24–48 hours from receipt, plus return delivery.
